BREXIT Surprising Numbers
- There has been a lot of movement in the GBP area. According to a poll that was held yesterday (Sunday), Britain is showing signs towards staying in the EU with 45% of the votes to stay and 42% to leave.
- Though the GBP gained a bit due to this poll, many believe it is not a trend. Should there be a poll with different results, the GBP may react differently.
- In case of a UK exit, there could be steps taken by the Bank of England in order to increase liquidity and that can affect the GBP.
- Should Britain decide to leave the EU, many expect to see a decrease in the value of the GBP and a rise in safe haven currencies like the JPY and CHF.
